It was his birthday on Wednesday 25th so I thought I would do a short feature on him.

Scott Maslen is best known for his role as Phil Hunter in ITV1's long running police drama series The Bill, he currently features as Jack Branning on award winning BBC flagship show EastEnders.

Aaron Sidwell

Aaron Michael Sidwell (born 12 September 1988 in Maidstone, Kent)) is a British actor, who currently plays Steven Beale in the British soap opera EastEnders. He made his first appearance on 21 September 2007. Sidwell took over the role from Edward Savage who last appeared in 2002.

EastEnders is Sidwell's first television acting role, but he has done a lot of stage work prior to his work on the soap.

He grew up in the village of Kingswood, Kent, and was given a drama scholarship when he was eleven years old. He is lead singer in a metal band called Bitter Conflict.

Sidwell has announced his plans to marry his long-term girlfriend Grace in September 2008.  It was revealed on 22 February 2008 that Aaron Sidwell will be leaving Eastenders when his contract ends in May.

Scott Maslen

Scott Alexander Maslen (born 1971 in London) is an English actor best known for his portrayal as DS Phil Hunter in ITV's The Bill and now Jack Branning on the BBC's flagship soap EastEnders.

He was brought up in Woolwich and joined the Royal Marines at the age of 16. Maslen sustained an injury whilst in the Marines, resulting in him having to leave. He is also a supporter of the West Ham United Football Club and can be seen interviewed on the 05/06 Season Review DVD. Maslen is a vegetarian he discussed this on a recent appearance on The Paul O'Grady Show.

After being injured while serving in the Marines, he went to Miami at 18 to see where fortune lay and was spotted by photographer Bruce Weber, and he earned a successful career as an international model, travelling the world earning "a good living" in glamorous locations.

 

Five years later, he turned to acting and landed a role in the successful television series Lock, Stock... in 2000. He has also played the live action rendition of Claude Speed in DMA Design's promotional video and opening sequence for Grand Theft Auto 2. After a few more television and film roles he landed his part in The Bill in 2002.

On 13 July 2007 it was announced that Maslen would be leaving The Bill and joining the cast of Eastenders as regular character Jack Branning.

Robert Kazinsky

Robert was born 'Robert Appleby' on the 18th November 1983 to parents Phyllis and Paul Appleby. Rob decided to adopt the stage surname 'Kazinsky' which is his Grandfathers middle name. Rob's enjoyment of acting began during his education at Hove Park School from 1995-2000, where he appeared in school productions of 'Bugsy Malone' and 'A Mid Summer Nights Dream' Rob studied Drama at GCSE level and got a grade B.

 

Robert Kazinsky is an extremely talented actor and brings so much to all of the characters he has played to date, making them truely stand out. Whether you laugh at him playing Sven in Basil Brush, find him cheeky and lovable as well as feel sadness after his death as Casper Rose in Dream Team or find him sexy and mysterious as Sean Slater in EastEnders, Rob has something to offer all his different fans making each of his characters unique in their own way.
