Jonathan Ansell

I watched Celebrity Come Dine With Me the other night and noticed Jonathan.  I remember him from G4 but haven't seen him about for a while.   Jonathan Mark Ansell (born 10 March 1982) is an English singer, formally the high tenor of the vocal group G4.

Jonathan Ansell was born in Bognor Regis in 1982. At the age of eight, he joined The West Sussex Boys' Choir, conducted by Arthur Robson, and stayed until his voice broke when he lost the ability to sing treble at the age of 15. He toured with the choir to Florida, Germany, and France, and sang in the Royal Festival Hall. After puberty Ansell found out he had developed a high tenor voice instead.

He attended the Anglican Bishop Luffa School in Chichester. "Achieved his Grade 8 as a treble at 13, he received his Grade 8 as a tenor at 17. He published a solo album in 2001 with his savings.

After a show-stopping performance of Love Changes Everything at a choral society concert in Littlehampton, his local MP, who was in the audience, arranged for him to have a preliminary audition at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. He won a place two years later, and felt he had come home.

Q.   Your new single is Get Back.  How would you describe it ?

It’s an experiment. I was in the studio recording some new tunes then I’ve heard get back. I said… I gotta try it!  So we recorded and the energy that I felt was… crazy… that was the moment when I understood that was my new single. I think that sometimes you have to let go yourself and try something new. It’s always the occasion to learn more.

Q. Everyone has goals in life, lots of people want to release a single, you have done that, so what is your next goal?  To make it big in America or Europe, or do you have a smaller goal you wish to achieve?

I wanna make it bigger, bigger and bigger. I want to have the opportunity to let my music be heard by more people and tour always in new places. It would be fantastic.

Q.  Totally unrelated to music!  Do you have any pets?  If so what are they?

I love dogs so much. I had one in the past but honestly with the crazy life that I have actually it’s totally impossible for me to have one.

Q.  Where do you see yourself in a years  time?

I don’t know where but making music for sure.

Senza-titolo-1

Q.  Is there anything you dislike about the music business or being famous?

If there’s something that I dislike it’s maybe the fact that in this business anything it’s for sure 100%. I mean,  It’s impossible to make plans!!  but maybe this is also a cool part of it. I love music, i can do anything 4 it.

Leon Jackson Heading For Christmas No1 Spot

X FACTOR winner Leon Jackson is storming towards the Christmas No1 with his single When You Believe.

The song was officially released 19th December and is on course to sell 300,000 copies by Sunday, when the Christmas chart will be announced.

But he may face a late challenge from the Pogues and Kirsty MacColl, whose classic Fairytale Of New York got a boost this week from the row over Radio 1's censorship of the lyrics.

Woolworths said they were selling 40 copies of Leon's single a minute, with their Scottish stores shifting twice as many as those down south.   Their branch in Bathgate, Leon's home town, sold out within two hours.

Fans hurled their knickers at Leon last night as he performed in Scotland for the first time since his victory.   Teddy bears and underwear littered the stage as he sang When You Believe.

More than 600 fans had queued for hours - some spending the night in freezing temperatures - to get a ticket for his appearance in a Livingston shopping centre.

Leon Jackson wins X-Factor

Well he was my favourite choice to win and I am glad he did.

Scottish crooner Leon Jackson has won the fourth series of ITV talent search the X Factor.

"It's not real," said the stunned 18-year-old as he took the prize of a £1 million recording contract. "Thank you for everybody who voted."

Second place went to Welsh tenor Rhydian Roberts, while sibling act Same Difference came third.

Leon's single - a rewritten version of Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston's When You Believe - is out on Monday.

He is likely to scoop the coveted Christmas number one next week, following in the footsteps of the last two X Factor winners, Shayne Ward and Leona Lewis.

Jordan McPhee / Billiam

Jordan, 21, who is a member of the up and coming band Billiam, was a pupil at St Mary's School in Menston - the same school attended by Simon Rix, Nick Baines and Nick Hodgson of hit rockers Kaiser Chiefs and former 5ive band member Sean Conlon.

Billiam, are made up of Jordan, Jazz, Gee and Stephen. Their website says they're looking to change the face of pop! On the site the boys say, "For so long now there hasn't been a boyband with great vocal ability, tight dance routines and the looks to go alongside!" The boys go on to say, "Now there is!"

I may feature one of the other band members soon, but Jordan is by far the hottest so of course gets the attention in this post today.

This is a video of their song "Beautiful ones"

Johnny Borrell

Johnny Borrell (born Jonathan Edward Borrell, 4 April 1980, in Muswell Hill, London, England) is an English singer and guitarist, and the frontman of Razorlight.

Borrell is notorious for his arrogant attitude towards the press and is famous for his proclamations of his own abilities. However, like many other artists who come across negatively in NME interviews, Borrell and supporters have accused the magazine of misrepresentation and emphasising quotes out of context. Interviewers have recently alluded to tension between Borrell and the two Swedish members of the band, one of whom claims Borrell spends little time with them.

Borrell is one of "The Dalston Set", a clique of indie notables connected to the early days of the London scene of the early 2000s, along with Dominic Masters of The Others, Pete Doherty, Carl Barât, John Hassall, and the Queens of Noize. It has been reported that he was briefly a stand-in bassist for The Libertines before they were signed, but in recent interviews he has claimed that this is not true. In Pete Welsh's Kids in the Riot, it is alleged that Borrell was sacked as The Libertines' bassist for unreliable behaviour and not turning up to gigs, but in general there is little animosity between the two bands, and Borrell remains friends with Carl Barât.

The Libertines' song "The Boy Looked At Johnny" is reputedly about Borrell, and Razorlight album track "Don't Go Back To Dalston" is reputedly directed at Pete Doherty, telling him to curtail his drug habit. Another Razorlight song talking about curtailing a drug habit is "Up All Night" which is largely misinterpreted as being a love song. However, Borrell's former friend Pete Doherty headbutted him backstage at the Leeds Festival in 2005.

Gary Phelan

Guitarist, singer and songwriter Gary Phelan was born in Cramlington, Northumberland, in 1982. In 2003, Gary became a contestant in the BBC's Fame Academy 2, being voted out about half-way through.

He is currently still touring around the country, but has not made it big.  You can listen to some of his songs on his myspace page.

Gary says he has always adored music and performing and started playing the piano at the age of nine. As a little boy Gary produced mini fashion shows for his parents, where he'd dress up in super hero costumes and choreograph routines! Gary says he loves singing in front of an audience - just give him a mike and watch the magic happen!

Music isn't his only love, though. Gary's hobbies include kickboxing and basketball and going to see lots of indie gigs, but he hates giant spiders. Gary's musical inspirations are Robbie Williams and Lenny Kravitz, but he's also a fan of Oasis, Stereophonics and U2.

Adam Levine

Adam Noah Levine (born 18 March 1979) is an American musician; he is the lead singer and guitarist for the pop group Maroon 5.

I'm not 100% certain on whether I would class him as hot, but hes definately not bad.  And I know lots of people will say hes hot.

Born in Los Angeles, California to Patsy Noah and Fred Levine, he has one brother, Michael, a stepsister, Julia, and two half siblings, Sam and Liza. His stepmother and father own two fashion stores geared toward men; because of this, Levine claims he's always been ahead of the fashion curve. In 2005, he and Ryan Seacrest of American Idol attended the inauguration of M. Fredric MAN, his parents' second store, in Studio City. Levine's background is Jewish.

Levine attended the private Brentwood School, where he met the original members of the band Kara's Flowers: Jesse Carmichael, Mickey Madden and Ryan Dusick. On his first day at Brentwood School, Levine met the third member of Maroon 5, Mickey Madden. Levine is noted as describing Mickey as a "musical encyclopedia" and it is thought that Levine's influence played a major role in Madden acquiring his first bass guitar soon after.

Leon Jackson

Well its a Saturday night and X-Factor will be on later, not that I will be about to watch it.

Anyway there isn't really any major hot talent in this series, although I have to admit Leon Jackson is not bad.  Don't see what the big deal is about Rhydian, I don't think he is hot at all, maybe I should watch it more he may grow on me.

Now as Leon has only appeared on X-Factor images of him are few and far between.  But I have posted a few for you all to look at.

Age: 18    From: West Lothian, Scotland, United Kingdom
Job: Sales Assistant in Gap

History:    Leon is an only child and has been bought up by his Mum in West Lothian. His Mum has struggled financially to bring him up and Leon is desperate to win to give them both a better life. Leon only started singing properly in January after his mum bought him an ipod and he started recording his voice.

His friends were so impressed with his voice that they dragged him down to karaoke every week and he’s not looked back! Leon loves contemporary jazz and his influences are Michael Buble and Jamie Callum. Apart from his keen hobby of karate (black belt), Leon says that singing is the only thing that makes him happy. If he hadn’t got through to the finals Leon would be starting University to do an Architectural Technology course.

Austin Drage

Austin Drage, born June 29, 1986 in Leytonstone, London, is an English singer, songwriter, and actor.

From an early age Drage has had a number of theatre, film and television credits to his name.

But it's music that is Austin's love. With self-penned tracks: Happy Now and Out of my Head, a fresh look and a guitar to hand, Austin is ready to live his dream!

Drage has also appeared on the television show "Boys Will Be Girls", which screened in the UK, and in Australia on Arena. The theme of the show was that three male singers were to form a girl band, by dressing and performing as women, in an attempt to fool the public. His filmography credits include "The Bill", "Casualty" and "Snatch".

He goes to Highams Park and Heathcote schools. His favorite foods are chicken and pasta. His hobbies are songwriting, singing, dj-ing, dancing and going to the gym

He shares his worst habit is, "I'm lazy, nothing will get me out of bed when i'm tired!" And when ask what he thinks of his best feature, he proudly says with a grin, "My muscles!"
